REHEARSAL DINNER CHECKLIST

 

 

If groom’s parents are planning the event: 

q       Discuss rehearsal dinner with groom’s parents

q       Provide groom’s parents with the menu for the wedding reception so that the meals are not too similar

q       Put together guest list for rehearsal dinner

q       Give addresses or phone number of guests on your list to groom’s parents

q       Compose toast (with groom) to thank hosts and guest  

If bride is involved in planning the event: 

q       Book venue

q       Send signed contract and deposit for venue

q       Make selections for menu

q       Arrange for decorations or music, if desired

q       Make arrangements for entertainment (such as a side show tracing the lives of you and your groom), if desired

q       Put together guest list (with addresses or phone numbers) for rehearsal dinner

q       Order/purchase/print out invitations, call invitees, or compose e-mail invitations

q       Address invitations

q       Send invitations

q       Compose toast (with groom) to thank host and/or guests

q       Give site manager final head count

q       Confirm all details with site manager
