ONE YEAR BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

(1) Shop for and buy an engagement ring.

 (2) Set a date and time for your wedding with your bride.

(3) Draw up a guest list with your parents and your bride.

(4) Talk to your clergy to see if the date you have chosen is available.

SIX MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

(1) Decide on your wedding attire and that of your attendants.

(2) Select a wedding ring for your bride.

 (3) Apply for passports. If needed, for your honeymoon.

SIX WEEKS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

 (1) Be sure you and your fiancée have all necessary blood tests and documents to obtain a marriage license.

 (2) If you plan to move after the wedding, fill out a change of address card (available at the post office).

 (3) Attend bachelor's party in your honor, probably given by your best man and groomsmen. Afterward, remember; don't drink and drive!
